Siler's Story...
Hi my name is Siler, my rescue mom thinks I am about 6 to 7 years old even though my past mom said I was about 5. Do not be fooled by the light hair on my face I am quite vivacious and my new mom says I am a whipper snapper! She also says I think I am ten feet tall and bullet proof! I try to protect the backyard from the goats (mom says they are allowed to live here but I dont agree) I can be a talker too. Mom says some people dont like that and I just dont know why? She is teaching me daily to work on being so vocal! I would love to have a home with other dogs or not. If there are other dogs though if you let me I will try and run the show. If you tell me differently I may be sad but I will behave!

I am neutered, up to date on shots, micro chipped, teeth cleaned, doggy door trained, crate trained and so far mom has not caught me peeing in the house! We dont have carpet here though so keep that in mind!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Siler, a Atascadero Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Atascadero, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Atascadero.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atascadero already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atascadero breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atascadero paves the way for another one to be saved.
