Pickles's Story...
Meet Pickles, an adorable 6-month-old male puppy. He is a beagle mix and has the sweetest personality! Pickles is enjoying his foster home after being pulled from Ashe County Animal Control. He gets along well with the dogs and cat in his foster home, is crate trained and is almost housebroken He should be about 15-20 pounds when fully grown. Pickles gets along well with people and does well with children. He has received his vaccinations (including rabies) and de-worming. Our veterinarian has advised that Pickles wait until he is 8 months old to be neutered.

A vet reference and/or home visit is required for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickles, a Jefferson Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Jefferson, or seeking a Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Jefferson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jefferson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jefferson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jefferson paves the way for another one to be saved.
