Sherman's Story...
Sherman is a male pup about 8 weeks old who we believe is a mixture of lab and boxer, we currently estimate he will be in the 50-65 pound range when fully grown. Sherman is a healthy pup who has received his first round of puppy vaccinations and been dewormed. He came from Animal Control with his brother Shadow and are thriving in their foster home where they do well with other dogs, cats and small children.

A vet reference and/or home visit is required for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherman, a Jefferson Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Jefferson, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Jefferson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jefferson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jefferson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jefferson paves the way for another one to be saved.
