Remi's Story...
Howdy! I’m Remi. I’m a 2-year-old, red, cattle dog mix. I’m a smart, energetic and fun-loving guy but I also like to try to be the boss and I test my foster mom’s limits whenever I can. She has been working with me to teach me how to relax and let her be the boss. She says I’m very willing to please, but I like to try to try to take over so I’m going to need someone who will continue working with me. I love learning new things and would make a good jogging or hiking buddy, or maybe even an agility dog. I get along really well with other dogs and love to go on car rides. Being told to sit or lay down is no problem for me and I’m already crate trained and housebroken. I walk on a leash, but need a little more help so I don't pull and walk you. I’m still a little possessive of my food, I’ll do better with older kids and I don’t like cats. I was turned into the Arizona Human Society last November and was having a hard time adjusting to living in a kennel. All I wanted to do was run, play, and go for walks. My foster mom got me out of there in February and I’ve been in my foster home since then. My foster mom says I’ve made a lot of progress and that I’m ready for my forever home now.

Remi’s adoption fee is $225.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remi, a Phoenix Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
