Mini Mike's Story...
Hi! My name is Mini Mike and I am the cutest, quirkiest senior Maltese boy you have ever met, weighing in at a whoopin' 5 pounds.

I had a tough life, before my rescue, but that doesn't keep me from being the happiest little guy.
Years and years ago, I had a bad pelvic fracture that never healed properly, so I walk very funny and I have to wear diapers.
My hobbies are sleeping in my favorite bed, eating, snuggling with my foster mom (I could do it forever and ever!) and sniffing my foster doggie siblings. I also like it when my foster mom takes me on walks, even though it's just her doing the walking, and me curiously looking around from her arm or jacket.
I've lived with dogs and cats as well.

My foster mom calls me "funny nugget" and "precious little snowflake," and she told me, "I am sure there's a wonderful family out there who needs a tiny, adorable package of love in their life." I hope it may be you...

I am neutered, UTD on my vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm-tested negative.

If I sound like the pooch for you, please write linda for an application at Mslondonspets@aol.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mini Mike, a Long Beach Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
