About Our Rescue Group...
We are a no kill shelter in Western NC. We do local adoptions and an out of state transport to Brattleboro VT and Hagerstown MD, about every six weeks to further our adoptions. We save 1500 animals a year in NC and hope to increase that number by out of state adoptions. We pull all of our animals out of a high kill pound. Once an animal is at our shelter they are here until they are adopted.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Yes,
We have puppies but also adults and even seniors. Please consider adopting an adult.
Our Adoption Process...
The adoption fees vary for each individual animal. The fee covers spay or neutering, vaccines, worming, heart worm tests/treatments, micro chipping, and transportation to VT. If you are interested in an animal please see the animal’s bio for an adoption fee.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
This is an out of state adoption program from North Carolina that transports to the New England area to approved adopted homes. We currently transport to MD, and VT only. Although adoptions from any state in that area are welcome as long as you can come to MD or VT to pick up your new family member. We do not have a shelter outside of NC, all the dogs are housed here until they come to their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whizz, a hagerstown German Shepherd Dog/St. Bernard puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/St. Bernard for sale in hagerstown, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/St. Bernard puppy from a breeder in hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/St. Bernard breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
