Pinki's Story...
"Hello, everyone! My name is PINKI, and I'm a super-cute and playful Pit Bull Terrier/ Dachshund mix pup who is about three months old. You probably won't come across many dogs like me, so I guess I'm pretty special. I've got lovely Pit Bull Terrier features, but I also have a long body with short legs. Aren't I a cutie pie? I desperately want to find a new home where I can grow to trust my owner. I'm kinda shy, so it takes me awhile to warm up to new people. After I get to know you and trust you, I'll be bonded to you for life. I'd do best in a quiet, adult home, and I'd want to have a yard so that I could explore and have fun with my dog toys. I'd also want a snuggly dog bed in the house so I could be close to you. I get along well with other dogs, and I'm a young pup who's ready to learn new things. The shelter's dog walkers will tell you that I'm learning how to sit on command quite nicely. Please come to the El Cajon Animal Shelter and look for me in kennel #30. I'll probably be shy at first, but I'll warm up to you if you sit with me in the shelter's lovely play yard. Just ask our helpful and kind staff. I hope you see you soon! Love, Pinki"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pinki, a El Cajon American Pit Bull Terrier/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Dachshund for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
