Arora and Yoshi's Info...

Arora and Yoshi's Story...
Arora and Yoshi are beautifully colored Normal Grey Cockatiels. Although they stay in different cages (next to each other), they have been together for years and need to be adopted together.

When their foster dad comes home at night, Arora and Yoshi are happy to see him and greet him with chirps and a wolf whistle. He opens their cage doors, and Yoshi immediately comes out to sit on top of his cage and play with his toys. While not completely tame, Yoshi will step up and let you pet him. He especially likes to groom Dad's beard!

Arora is not as tame, but when you play with Yoshi, Arora comes out of his cage and wants some attention too. After he is out of his cage, he will step up and allow you to pet him.

Arora and Yoshi like to sing and chirp, but they are never loud and would make great pets if you live in an apartment.

Arora's approximate hatch date is 2006, Yoshi's is 2005; their adoption fee is $80 for BOTH birds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arora and Yoshi, a St. Louis Cockatiel was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatiel for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Cockatiel from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatiel breeders who help with Cockatiel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
