My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kobi Is a 10 week old pure bred boxer pup. Our rescue has noted that he is a special needs pup due to his front right leg. When he was about one week old his Mom rolled over his front right leg and caused some damage. The vet that our rescue uses has taken radiographs at 7 and 10 weeks of age. Our vet is very happy with the healing that has transpired in the past three weeks. The vet thinks that the quality or length of his life should not be affected by this condition. There are some things that are not recommended for this pup. For example, a job as a running companion. If he runs and plays with kids or other dogs of his own choice then that is fine. He shouldn't have to perform any real physical work. There are no indications at this time or in the foreseeable future a need for surgery.
Due to this pup's condition, we are only requesting a donation be made to the rescue in lieu of an adoption fee, since we have no means of giving an exact prognosis on damage that has occurred to his leg.

Kobi has the typical friendly, energetic, affectionate boxer personality. HIs little nub wags constantly!
He has had 2 parvo/distemper puppy shots, has been wormed several times and has had a bordatella vaccine. (kennel cough). His previous owner had the litter's tails docked and dew claws removed. His neuter will be left to his adopter. Our vet suggests around the age of 6 mo. Kobi is currently in foster care in east Tennessee and will be transported upon adoption. Alpha Dog Transport charges $125 for their services. They also hand off all vet records when you claim your dog.

Pups this age should be left alone no more then 3 hrs. at a time. This is important for potty training and the bonding process.

If you feel you can offer Kobi the home he needs, you will need to complete our application. Part of the adoption process will also include a conversation with our vet .We are having difficulty with the one posted on our main website as the webhosting company is installing a new server. Please email deaddogswalkingtn@me.com and an application will be forwarded to you.
