Lucy is a 3 year old, black and tan, natural eared Dobergirl. She has a really cute cowlick that runs up the bridge of her nose. Lucy is a sweet dog who loves to play….and play and play! She came from a home where she was bonded to her Doberman “brother” who was also surrendered to DAR&E. She was given up because the owners did not have sufficient time for her. Lucy did not have much prior training but now knows SIT and DOWN for treats. She rides well in the car, sleeps quietly in her crate at night and can be walked on a leash as long as you show her that you are in charge. Lucy is currently living with two small dogs and two cats in her foster home. If left alone, even for a few minutes, Lucy WILL get into mischief! She considers everything to be a toy for her to play with….TV remotes, phones, slippers, shoes, hats and paper towels….all are up for grabs as far as Lucy is concerned. Lucy is a sweet girl who will do best with a patient, determined owner who will take the time to teach her the things she did not learn as a puppy. Lucy would do well with older children but would possibly knock over a toddler in her excitement which causes her to spin and jump up and down. She loves to play with all kinds of toys and will retrieve a ball. Like most dobes, she will destroy a stuffed toy in a matter of seconds if she is left alone with it!
