Clovis-Prison Graduate's Story...
Meet Clovis. He's a 10 month old Great Pyreness mix that just finished 12 weeks of training at the Grafton Correctional Institute and is now a proud Prison Graduate. Clovis has been trained in obedience, basic commands, house training, leash walking and manners and has learned his lessons well. One problem Clovis still has is that he is food aggressive. So much so with other animals that we are asking that he be adopted into a home as an only pet. If there are children in the house they should older. Too many times younger children bother dogs while they are eating. If Clovis is not eating he's the perfect pet. He's a sweet friendly boy that needs a special home. One of the trainers will speak to you about Clovis if you come to visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clovis-Prison Graduate, a Elyria Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
