Baxter's Story...
N/M, 2 Years, Bassett Hound (Purebred)

Gosh. I guess I just joined the "My people moved and didn't remember they had a dog" club. Well, it's a darn good thing that I am such a friendly fellow! I'm certain to find a new family soon enough.
I'm a down to earth kind of guy. Low to the ground, and friendly all around.that's me! Perhaps you have noticed that I am a Basset Hound. My breed is described as "somewhat selectively stubborn" when it comes to training, and I guess that's true, but I really do aim to please! I may not be a super athlete, but I do need you to make sure I get out for a trot about town every day. I'm quite strong for my breed! Watching sports with you is a different story! I'd love to snuggle up with you for a good day of armchair football!

I lived with cats and older children in my last home, and I did fine with both. Have you been dreaming of having a long-eared man in your life? Here I am!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Denver Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Denver, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
