Sammy's owners could no longer care for him due to financial reasons and a new baby in the picture, so they surrendered him to PPR in the hopes that he would find a new home to give him all the attention he needs! At 1 1/2 yrs old and 8 lbs, he is leggy and skinny but such a sweet boy! Sammy is currently on medication for very mild seizures, which we are usure as to the cause of. He is tolerating the meds well and doing just fine! He gets along with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, and does well with children.

Project Precious Rescue, Inc. is the love child of two animal rescuers who were unsatisfied with working for others. We rescue on our terms, dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, we do not discriminate against breeds, and we answer to no one but ourselves. If there is an animal in need, and we can help it, we do. We are a small scale rescue with ever changing adoptables, so please check in frequently to find your new best friend!
The mission of Project Precious Rescue is to rescue adoptable animals who may otherwise face homelessness or death, and find them carefully screened, loving forever homes. We will rely solely on our own funds and donations, and will not profit from our work. We believe every animal deserves a chance, and we do our best to help in any way we can.

If you are interested in adopting a Project Precious pet, please email ProjectPreciousRescue@gmail.com OR ProjectPreciousRescue2@gmail.com for an adoption application. After receiving your filled out application, we will screen your information and determine if we have a pet that is a good fit for you. There will then be a introduction and home visit, and if all goes well, an adoption contract and fee. When submitting an application, please bear in mind that we do this on our own time in addition to working paying jobs, so it may take a couple of days to get a response. Our adoption fees vary depending on age and type of animal (dog or cat).
We are currently serving all of CT - we may consider out of state adoptions in some parts of NY, MA, NJ.
