JAEGGER's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET JAEGGER....and he has the saddest eyes. One has to wonder what he has been thru. He is a tan/white, 18 lb, 1.5-2 yr old, Lhasa Apso, who was transferred from the South Central Shelter to West LA because he just got passed over. He had a cherry eye, which has healed, and had a yeast infection from being left outside...to most, too much work. Just like children, dogs need attention...and it does not seem that he got very much. Jaegger is a fantastic dog who will kiss you and love you and let you know how much he appreciates you. He can be a little mouthy, which is like play biting but also can be out of fear. I can put my whole hand in his mouth and he will not bite me. I can put my face in his, and he will not bite me. It's more like playing, but probably eliminates children from his future home. When he knows and trusts you, you can do almost anything to him. He is good around other dogs, but he would prefer to be your one and only. He is great around people, but you have to take it slowly with him. THIS IS NOT AN AGGRESSIVE DOG AT ALL....he is still just a bit fearful and needs to know that he isn't going to be hit or hurt. We believe that his last home didn't have the patience or time to work with him. He is a young dog and definitely will benefit from training, especially with his possessiveness around his human and his toys! He seems to be potty trained (no promises), but will use pp pads if they are available. Jaegger possesses the Lhasa charm and stubborness, at times, but he is very smart, he listens and he wants to please you. We haven't even heard him bark yet, so he is very quiet! He's great in the car, on a leash and in your lap. All he needs is a guardian who will love him unconditionally, as he will love you. Mature home only please; no kids. Sad eyes...but a happy heart :)

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JAEGGER, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
