Nikki's Story...
Nikki is a stunning brindle Boxer born around November 2011 who was rescued by a Kiko volunteer who did not want to see her fall into the hands of a backyard breeder or in a puppy mill. Despite a sketchy past, Nikki has shown us that she is a typical sweet Boxer. She is affectionate and smart, and will make a great family pet. While she knows a few basic commands in French, Nikki would benefit from further training, which is a wonderful way to bond with a new dog. Nikki gets along well with the other dogs in the foster home and has enjoyed traveling in the van. Nikki will be spayed prior to her adoption.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($250 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikki, a Rigaud Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
