*ADOPTED* Joey's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

*ADOPTED* Joey's Story...
*ADOPTED* Joey came to us from a local animal control where he was surrendered by his owner. Sadly, it does not appear that he was well cared for. His ears have been frost bitten and he is healing from a skin infection. He gets along with other dogs and he loves being held and being close to his people. He seems to need some work on his housetraining, but he is a smart boy that is very food motivated and willing to please. He is guessed to be about 7 years old and weighs 7.5 pounds.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at under the "Adoption Process" tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*ADOPTED* Joey, a Romeoville Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Romeoville, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Romeoville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romeoville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romeoville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romeoville paves the way for another one to be saved.
