Elmer IS ADOPTED.'s Story...
Bugs and Elmer were 2 of 5 puppies where were found in a culvert in a drainage ditch. Don't know if that's where the mom had had them and just raised them and they were left there, OR if someone decided to abandon them there. The family that found them kept a male and female. We have adopted a female already who is the spitting image of Elmer. I think they were just traumatized by living in the culvert and then being snatched out by the dog catcher and then landing at our shelter. OMG! What has happened to us. They are typical little playful puppies. Bugs, the blonde, is quiet and has these sad Bassett Hound eyes, but they are both just adorable. 603-332-2965 or email us at pepperten@metrocast.net for more information.

PLEASE READ IMPORTATION INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE CALLING:

Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in your area or mine. Therefore, it is not possible to meet the dogs and pups prior to their adoption. They are brought up north from various southern states on a USDA transporter whose web site is www.gotransporters.com and beginning every Thursday afternoon through the last delivery on Saturday afternoon you can follow the transporter on Facebook by logging onto their site at www.facebook.com and go to the search bar and type in Got Orphans Transport. This is a fun way to see all of the dogs and pups and perhaps even see your own as they travel to their forever homes.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We rescue dogs/pups from Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia. We are a small rescue and we work real hard to find good adoptive homes for all of our dogs and puppy's.
Our dogs are temperament tested, UTD on vaccines, rabies vaccine (age appropiate), heart worm tested (over 6 months) and neutered or spayed (over 6 months) and only good family dogs are available for adoption. Please consider a black dog because black dogs are not adopted as often as their light colored friends. Call Janice at 603-332-2965 or email her at pepperten@metrocast.net

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We adopt out in the Northeast states. We are in need of adopters for our pups due to low adoptions here in KY and over population. Most of these beautiful pups are out of time. These pups and dogs do not have much time left due to so many animals being surrendered to the shelter. If you are looking for a best friend or wanting to add a new member to the family, please consider saving a life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elmer IS ADOPTED., a Rochester Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
