Charlie's Story...
Charlie, affectionately called King Charles by his foster mom, is a big lover boy. Everything about this boy says love -- he has a cute fat face, adorable green eyes, and a squat body that's perfect for sitting on laps. He loves other cats, and would do best in a home where he has a cat companion. He's great with kids too, and he loves to play. Charlie really enjoys watching birds and squirrels through the window.

Charlie is neutered, microchipped, negative for FIV/Leuk, treated for all parasites, and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $75. Charlie is currently at Petco on Rt. 83 in Elmhurst. His favorite thing to do is follow you around and sit on your lap. He loves canned food (especially turkey), and will knead in the air while you're holding him. FIV+ cats can live a long time as Lucky is already 10 years, and according to his bloodwork, he's as healthy as a horse! Lucky is neutered, microchipped, negative for FLeuk (positive for FIV), treated for all parasites, and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $40. Lucky is currently in a foster home. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Addison Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Addison, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Addison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Addison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Addison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Addison paves the way for another one to be saved.
