Gabe's Info...

I am housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Gabe's Story...
Gabe, short for Gabriel, was found abandoned in a trailer park. He is a delightful mix of shepherd and hound with lots of energy!

Personality: Gabe is friendly, outgoing, and trainable. He likes other dogs, people of all ages, grooming, car rides, and is open to new experiences. Gabe can be apprehensive of sudden loud noises and strange places, and is working to build his confidence.

Useful Information: Gabe is working on his house training and on getting used to a collar, leash, and going for walks. He pulls on the leash and jumps on people in his puppy exuberance. Gabe sometimes barks and digs in the yard. He is at a good age to begin training and learning how to be the best dog he can be!

Gabe is ready to become a member of your family. He knows he has a lot to learn and feels up to the task, if you are there to guide him. Please meet Gabe and spend some time with him. He might just be your new family member!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabe, a Houston Hound (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
