Sue's Story...
Sue - Beautiful Hound/Shepherd/Lab Mix for Adoption!

Are you looking for a sweet and loving dog? Sue was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina. The scars on her muzzle make it apparent that her short life has not been easy; however, for you, she has put her past behind her because she KNOWS that you will treat her like the princess she is. This cuddle bug lives to make you happy. She's got a beautiful smile that's always included with a tail wag.

Some of Sue's fantastic qualities:
Perfect age. We think Sue is about 2 years old. She's a perfect size at 40-45lbs.
Excellent House Manners Sue would cuddle all day with you if you'd let her, but she understands you have things to do. So when you're busy, Sue is happy to go off for a nap or watch some TV on her own. She doesn't chew or get in to trouble. She acknowledges house boundaries very well too. She does not appear to be a "door dasher" (major plus)
Very intelligent. Sue is doing very well with sit, come, get down, and is working on lie down.
Good with people and children. Sue is happy to meet new people, as indicated by her ever-wagging tail.
Loves the outdoors. There is nothing better than a long walk! All those scents to smell and squirrels/rabbits/birds to see... what more could a dog ask for?!
LOVES to Love. Sue can always use a hug or a pet, making every day special. If allowed, she'll sit next to you on a couch and watch TV for hours. She loves all affection and can't be pet enough!
Excited about car rides. Sue LOVES car rides, and rides very well.
Ready to enter your family. She is up to date on all shots, spayed.
Extremely low maintenance. Sue is a super easy dog to care for. Her medium length coat won't leave fur balls around your house. She loves to be near you, but is happy going off to take a nap if you're busy.
House Trained. 'nuff said! She can hold it all day in her crate and goes straight for the door when she has to go.
Excellent Pup for single, couple, or family Sue just wants to be spoiled with love, affection, and a great romp around
Loyal and Eager to Please. When Sue looks at you, she is asking what she can do to make you love her more. With some time and devoted training, you can teach her to do anything you want.
Sue's hound nose gives her a high prey drive. With time and patience, she could be taught to live with a calm feline friend.

Sue is currently recovering from her heartworm treatment and is ready for her fur-ever home with you! Submit an application today to visit her and take her home on 2/25! Sue is fostered in Linthicum Heights, MD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sue, a Frederick Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
