Roxie's Story...
There is only one word to describe Roxie and that is PRECIOUS. Roxie is a sweet young girl who somehow found herself in a very bad high kill shelter. She is about 7 months old and weighs 30 lbs at this time and has the most beautiful soft black coat. Roxie is great with everyone she has met including children. She is very approachable to strangers whether they are men or women. Roxie is a real sweetheart. She needs a little help working on her confidence as she can be a bit timid at times. She is doing well with her house breaking and learning to use the doggie door and is also working on basic commands. Her favorite activities include: snuggling, chewing on toys and play wrestling with other dogs. She is fantastic on a leash and would make a wonderful walking partner. Words from Roxie’s foster mom: Roxie is a great little girl. She is very submissive so she gets along with everyone and everything! She is a very agile dog and loves to run and play! Roxie just really enjoys being with her people! She will greet you by showing you a toy, or giving you a toy. She is so proud of that toy. Did we mention that she is good with the kitties too. Roxie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations including rabies and micro-chipped. She is also on flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative and crate trained. Roxie is a truly awesome girl and if you just can’t resist that sweet face, please indicate Roxie in the notes section of the online application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
