Chipper's Story...
Chipper is 8 months old and 42 pounds. He's a sweet kid who never meets a stranger! He loves toys, especially squeaky ones, and adores falling asleep in a lap. He's sharing a foster home with three cats and other dogs -- and happily plays with all of them. This guy is so cheerful and fun to have around - he brings a smile to everyone's face. He's house trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car. He's a "best friend, take anywhere" kind of guy. To learn more about him from his foster mom, complete an application, and meet him - please email INFO@FORrescue.net. Chipper is fostered in Madison, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chipper, a Marietta Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
