My name is Niquey!
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Niquey (Nee-Kee) was picked up by animal control as a stray. Unfortunately, she developed a nasty upper respiratory infection in the shelter and needed to get out ASAP. City Kitties pulled her from the shelter, took her to the vet to get her cold fixed up.
She is a super affectionate girl. She is so sweet that getting a picture of her is hard becaue she wants to climb on your lap and nuzzle the camera instead of posing in front of it. She runs up to the door to greet people, and loves to purr.
Unfortunately, being in the shelter made Niquey very stressed out and she began over grooming. She groomed so much, that she 'cleaned' the fur right off her back end. Luckily, it didn't take long for her to get relax and get her gorgeous coat back. With love and good food, she has filled out and now has a gorgeous, shiny coat.
Niquey is around 3-5 years old, spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, received a fecal exam to test for parasites, uses the litterbox, and was treated for fleas and parasites as needed. Niquey currently lives in a home with other kitties. We think she would do well in a home with or without other cats.
About City Kitties' Veterinary Care: We provide high quality veterinary care for our foster cats and kittens. Each animal is spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, and receives age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies), and flea/parasite treatment as needed. Since they live in foster homes, you can see our adoptable animals in a familiar, stress-free environment, and their foster parents can tell you all about their personalities. If you have questions a week, a month, or even a year after adoption, we're available for guidance and support.
How to Adopt from City Kitties: Our adoptable animals are housed in private foster homes. The first step in meeting an adoptable animal is to fill out an adoption application. To ensure a lifelong match between you and your new pet, our adoption process involves an application, reference check, and a visit to your home at the time of adoption. Our adoption fee is $85 to help subsidize the cost of veterinary care. You can read more about the adoption process and fill out an application on our website, www.citykitties.org.
