Jacob's Story...
Jacob is a long, large and handsome boy. He boys spend most of his day laying about, snuggling and chasing the occasional toy, as he is a very relaxed fella. Dogs don't bother this little lion, and once he gets used to new ones he will rub up on them too. Jacob likes most cats as well, though not all cats like him. Jacob likes to get up high, and loves a good scratching post, though his favorite thing to rub on are the legs of his humans. If you're not giving him all the attention he wants, he will follow you and meow very loudly, winding between your legs until you give in to his demands. He loves to sleep on the bed with his humans too, so that he can get even more attention, and has a loud purr to let you know he is a happy boy.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Edmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Edmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Edmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
