Leo & Jacob's Story...
Jacob and Leo are long, large and handsome 2 year old brothers, that are very bonded to each other, never having been apart. The boys spend most of their days laying about, snuggling and chasing the occasional toy, as they are very relaxed and lazy boys. Dogs don't bother these little lions, and once they gets used to new ones they will rub up on them too. The boys like most cats as well, though not all cats like them. These boys are very affectionate towards each other as well, and love to rub against one another while purring loudly. Jacob likes to get up high, and loves a good scratching post, though his favorite thing to rub on are the legs of his humans. If you're not giving him all the attention he wants, he will follow you and meow very loudly, winding between your legs until you give in to his demands. He loves to sleep on the bed with his humans too, so that he can get even more attention, and has a loud purr to let you know he is a happy boy. Leo is a great big cowardly lion. A little shy at first, he quickly warms up and becomes a very affectionate boy. He loves to sleep on the bed, but watch your fingers as he will nibble on them during the night to get your attention. Leo is the more playful of the brothers, enjoying feather teasers and lasers to chase, and the occasional ball or mouse. He also enjoys sitting on the couch with you, content just to be close.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

About Our Rescue Group...
Our mission is to effect change in the way community cats are viewed and treated in the City of Edmond.

Our primary focus is to humanely and non-lethally reduce the numbers of free-roaming community cats in the City of Edmond by implementing an aggressive Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.

TNR is the most effective long-term approach to reducing the feral cat population in the City of Edmond. TNR involves humanely trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, marking for identification, and then returning of feral cats to the location from which they were trapped so that they may live out their lives. TNR respects feral cats' right to live, and their niche in the community, without adding to the homeless cat population. TNR stabilizes the feral cat population and, over time, reduces it while substantially reducing or eliminating nuisance behaviors.

Through the process of TNR, we regularly encounter friendly, unowned, stray cats as well as young kittens that can be socialized. All are vetted and put into adoption.

Our Adoption Process...
Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued cat. Each year there are tens of thousands of cats that are made homeless in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. Sadly, there are more cats than there are suitable homes.

We take adoptions very seriously. Our adoptable cats are typically found as strays trying to survive in feral cat colonies where they were either abandoned, neglected, or abused. We are the only advocates for the cats we rescue, and feel that it is critical for our adoptable cats be placed in safe, loving, caring and permanent homes. Whether you plan to adopt an adult cat or a kitten, you are making a 10-20 year commitment to that feline. Therefore, we reserve the right to deny the adoption of a cat to anyone whom we feel will not provide humane, responsible, and lifetime care of the cat.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

Though not a requirement in most cases, we encourage you to at least consider adopting kittens in pairs. Kittens find it especially comforting – and having a built-in playmate often helps them integrate into their new family more easily.
