Billy's Info...

Breed: Domestic Shorthair Color: White (Mostly) Age: Kitten
Sex: Male Hair: Short
Billy's Story...
Billy is so gentle and sweet! He was rescued by some people who were feeding his feral mother and had adopted kittens from a previous litter she had, but could not afford to keep him as well. They did take care of him until he could be weaned from his mother and then brought him to us so that he could find a loving home of his own! Billy is very friendly and loves other animals. He is often found cuddling with one of his fellow foster felines. He can be a little shy with new humans, but if you get out a toy and play with him, he becomes completely engrossed in playing and will warm up to newbies very quickly! His favorite toy is the cat fishing pole and he comes running when he hears or sees it being taken out! He is a complete acrobat and will jump like crazy while playing with it! Billy is available for adoption or foster-to-adopt. Contact us to meet Billy today!

About Our Rescue Group...
KittyKaretakers is a 501(c)(3) non profit which rescues cats & kittens in the Queens & Brooklyn areas of NYC and finds loving & caring forever homes for them. We are a completely foster-home based network; we have no shelter of our own. We intimately know the personalities of all our furry felines so that we can make the best match for your lifestyle!
Come Meet Our Pets...
We do many adoption events at various locales, please contact for further information or follow us on Facebook where we usually post our current adoption event locations & times! Currently we are regularly showing at PS9 Pets 169 N 9th Street in Williamsburg on Saturdays from 12-7PM and on Sundays in Park Slope at 135 7th Ave from 12-5PM.
Our Adoption Process...
All animals have been tested & vaccinated. All animals have also been fixed unless too young in which case we will arrange for this when they are old enough. There is an application and a small re-homing fee (to cover vet expenses) to adopt. Many of our cats are also available to foster until they find their forever homes! We also allow people to foster-to-adopt so they can give it a trial run, free of charge, for a couple of weeks before they finalize an adoption. If an adoption, for any reason, does not work out, we ALWAYS take the cat back. Contact us to get more information!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billy, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
