Please click 'SEE MORE' to read Princess Chloe's full description!  Chloe is being fostered in Lancaster, Pa.

(2012-13) Princess Chloe is a 6-7 year old spayed female.  She is a fun-loving and outgoing lady!  Chloe can be very affectionate and loves attention when she wants it.  Although sometimes she likes to be left alone to contemplate her humans and her castle.  Chloe is a typical girl kitty and can be moody with other cats occasionally.  She gets along fantastic with some cats, but does not like some others at all. She has not been tested with dogs, and would most likely do best as the only pet in the home.

Princess Chloe needs a special family where she can live as the queen bee!  She would do best in a family no kids, or with older children, as noisy little ones may scare her.  Chloe's foster family loves her very much, but she does not get along very well with their other cats, so she has been living in a large custom built cage when they can't supervise her with the other cats.  Due to her living arrangement she has become a bit overweight and could certainly benefit from a family who could provide a diet and excercise plan for her.  She loves to play! Lazer toys and Feather-on-a-String toys are her favorites!!

Could you give our sweet Princess Chloe the new life she deserves?

UPDATE! 7/20/14 - from her foster mom -

Chloe is awesome.  We've moved her upstairs to my bedroom.  She is doing great!  She is not kept in a cage at all anymore.  It isn't necessary.  We took about 3 months and carefully integrated her with our cats and she has no problems with them now!  She initially would hiss at them and try to get away, but she never fought or started problems.

She is such a cuddler!  She sleeps up against my legs and purrs happily.  She loves to be held in my arms!  She is such an easy cat, she just goes with the flow and does her thing.  She is not demanding for attention and is perfectly content to just be near me.  She loves to be petted and is just generally sweet tempered.  SHE LOVES BELLY RUBS!

She ALWAYS uses her litterbox and scratching post.  We have no problems with her.  She tolerates the dogs and even likes our other kitties now.  She will lay on the bed snuggled up with them and will even groom them!

As long as you are patient with her, she will blossom when she is ready.  She does things on her own time, like a true princess.  She will definitely need an adjustment period for a new family, but she is worth the wait!!!  She would do best in a quiet home, and prefers to stay in one room.  She would make a perfect apartment kitty!

About Kitty Colony - Ephrata

About Our Rescue Group...

We seek to rescue the abandoned, the unwanted, the unloved - the cats that need us.

- To care for and provide a loving, cage free home for cats awaiting adoption.

- To reduce euthanasia in overcrowded shelters by taking in cats that need more TLC.

- To educate the public about proper and responsible care of domestic companion animals.

Kitty Colony was founded in Lancaster County, PA.

As volunteers for various rescues, we began to rescue and foster ferals and adoptables in need of special care and attention - we especially try to take needy cats and kittens from shelters where they would otherwise be euthanized.

Kitty Colony has branched out since first beginning its adoption program in Jenkintown, PA and now encompasses Ephrata and Lancaster as well.

We have several foster homes and our home base for the Lancaster area is in Ephrata, PA.

Wish List:

FOSTER HOMES!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We operate out of foster homes - most of which are not open to the public, but we are working to open more foster homes to visitors in the near future.

For the present we meet by appointment only at local petsmarts in Lancaster, Willow Grove and Jenkintown.
