Zeva's Story...
Zeva is about 2 years old. She is currently not at the shelter. She is in a foster home. She needed to gain weight and learn how to be a dog. She is very content just curling up on the couch and being by your side. She is doing very well on housebreaking and will let you know when she needs to go out. She may still have an occasional accident if not watched. She would do best in a home where someone will be home a lot. Zeva craves attention and loves to be with someone. She also does great with other dogs. She has since learned how to play ball and will play/interact with other dogs. She loves walks and does well on a leash. Zeva must be spayed. Her teeth have been worn down due to her previous living conditions so she is on a particular brand of food. If you feel you could provide a loving forever home and are intersted in Zeva please complete an application through the Shelby County Sheriff website or in person at the shelter itself. Appt will be made to do a meet and greet at shelter after all documentation and application have been submitted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeva, a Sidney Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
