Julie's Story...
Gentle Julie is a free spirited thirteen year old front paw declaw with a lifetime of love to give. Julie was found abandoned so her history is unknown, yet it is clear that she is accustomed to being doted on because she expects devotion from everyone she meets; dramatically collapsing at their feet for belly rubs. Her hobbies include wrestling large sparkle balls while kicking them with her back feet and testing the comfort level of cat beds with happy little paws like a fickle Goldie Locks. Julie is a tad reserved around the other cats which may be due in part to being the only cat without front claws in her room. She is certain to be a very affectionate and interactive companion for anyone looking for a feline friend. She is available for adoption today and waiting to meet her match. Julie was born in 2000.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Julie, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
