Heide's Story...
This little family was picked up by Animal Care Services living on the street of San Antonio. They were just 5 days old full of ticks and fleas. Being so young the shelter life was no place for them nor for their mom to raise a family so MHCR picked them up and brought them home. Mom is a wonderful girl and yes they look nothing like her but they are just wonderful. They are thriving in foster care learning from their mom. They are just about 8 weeks old now and eating on their own and looking for a place to call their own. These guys wont last very long so visit and fill out an adoption application.

UPDATE: Heide is outgoing and loves to carry her toys around in the yard. If she doesn't happen upon a dog toy she is just as happy with a stick! She is well socialized with other dogs and children. She is doing great with her house training and will even cry by the door from time to time when she needs to go out. She is perfect in her crate overnight or even if put down for time out.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heide, a San Antonio Manchester Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Manchester Terrier for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Manchester Terrier puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Manchester Terrier breeders who help with Manchester Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
