GRIFF's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET GRIFF....and he is just as cuddly as he looks! This liver/gold, 18 lb, 5 yr old Lhasa mix is just a wonderful guy. He has the most beautiful, gold, expressive eyes. His story is really a tragic one. His senior mother's son didn't want her to have him anymore, and so he took him from her and dumped him in the shelter. How sad is that? Griff is a sweetheart of a dog who gets along with everyone, kids included. He was likely not walked and will do better with outside access in a yard. While he loves to go on walks now, he's not so sure what to do on them, but he is learning. All Griff needs is some love, attention and walks! He is interested in toys, but isn't really sure what to do with them...but one thing he knows how to do and does it well...and that is kiss you to let you know how much he loves you! He is playful and loves the company of other dogs. He may need a little refresher course on potty training, but they usually do after being in the shelter. Griff does not like being left alone without another dog or person around, so the ideal home for him would be one where there is another dog and/or people to give him attention. He will be a wonderful companion!! Does this sound like a buddy you could love?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 11a-3:30pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GRIFF, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
