SHARISE's Story...

MEET SHARISE....a reddish/tan and white, 11.5 lb, 2 yr old Shih Tzu, who was also pulled from the Riverside Shelter. We have no idea why, but she is a fantastic pup. This little girl has the best, outgoing, happy personality. She LOVES to play...she is quiet... to play tug-o-war with a chew toy and her foster buddy Amelia, and they have playing until they are exhausted. Sharise is very active, but not hyper. If we didn't know they came from different homes, we would think that Sharise and Amelia were together, as they are very similar in their habits and get along fantastically. It seems that Sharise is pp pad trained....but she loves to go on walks and does her business outside. She will wait by the door or nudge you to tell you she has to go out (or use a pp pad) -- still, no promises at your house! The ideal home for this little girl will be one with another, young, playful dog; room for them to play and a family who will dote on her. She is not a needy dog and she can be independent, but she loves the attention and will be the first to tell you she is happy to see you. Another wonderful little girl who has adjusted to her foster home but will be thrilled to be in her furever home!! Maybe yours?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SHARISE, a Los Angeles Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
