My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Okay, I have spent a lot of time with Rhett and this dog is WONDERFUL !!! He is calm and just wants to rub up against you and love you !! He is amazing. I just can't say enough wonderful things about Rhett. He is quiet, he is loving and now that he is thru his Heartworm treatment he is ready to run and play. He really needs a family !!

This is a perfect dog, he rarely barks, he is sensitive and highly trainable, he is about 2-3 yrs old and deserves a great home . He is only 70 lbs and just so loving !!
Here is the original story of Rhett when I picked him up......

I picked Rhett up from the Brazoria Co Sheriff's Dept this morning at 7:30. I had to wait outside because they were putting down the Monday morning euthanasia list. Rhett was originally on that list. We thank the volunteers that post these guys everyday since rescue is their only way out. Rhett is a Mastiff Mix, he is only 72 lbs and short. . He is at Stafford Oaks Vet Hospital right now being neutered and getting HW tested and UTD on shots. We found out today he is High HW positive and he will begin treatment in the next 2 weeks after his neuter is healed. Rhett bears the scars of having lived a rough life on the streets, he has scars on his face and head and a sad look in his eyes our vet believes he had been abused , which I cannot bear to think about....you see, Rhett is a LOVER to his bones !!! He is so sweet, good with cats and kids and right now REALLY wants his HW treatment to be over so he can run and play. Rhett is very calm and is ready for a family that will love him and keep him safe. Please call if you are interested in meeting Rhett or have any questions or would like to donate to his treatment. 832-243-6090
