Candie's Story...
In the short time Candie has been under RESCUE’s care, she has developed quite the fan base amongst our volunteers.

First of all, Candie is adorable… the cute markings all over her body and on her face make Candie irresistible! Once you pet her bunny soft fur, there is no turning back.

Secondly, Candie has an amazing purrsonality to go with her good looks. Candie is incredibly affectionate and will follow you around the room in the hopes that she will entice you into petting her. She loves to be close to her people. When you hold her, she’ll snuggle as close as possible rubbing her face affectionately against yours and then resting her head in the crook of you neck. Be prepared because Candie will rest comfortably in that position for as long as your arms have the strength to hold her there! Candie is also happy to let minutes pass into hours resting happily in your lap and accepting as many pets as you are physically able to give her!

Other fun facts about this sweet girl…she enjoys playing with wand toys and laser light toys; and she likes hanging out on high perches in kitty condos or other such places where she can keep an eye on any and all activity. Candie also likes the companionship of other friendly kitties. She has been observed generously sharing peoples’ laps, kitty condo perches, and toys with her kitty roommates. Candie has even been groomed by some of her feline friends.

Candie’s ability to be playful and energetic at one moment and calm and snuggly the next moment coupled with her love of people and her friendships with other friendly felines makes Candie an ideal companion. Anyone would be lucky to welcome this loving little gal into their heart and home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candie, a Phoenix Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
