Roxie's Story...
Roxie is a 4 year old spayed female Boxer blend whose owner could no longer care for her. It was reported that Roxie is good with older children, enjoys riding in the car, loves to play, and knows her basic commands of sit, down and heel. Roxie's behavior with cats is unknown, but she would do better in a home where she is the only dog. Roxie has been micro-chipped so you will be able to register your contact information.

If you want to apply for Roxie click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Meridian Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
