Nuzzy's Story...
Beautiful Nuzzy drew a crowd of fans at the most recent adoption event. Her friendly personality, wagging tail and gorgeous eyes caught the attention of dog lovers all around, but time and again potential adopters chose a puppy instead. Seriously???

This young hound mix was someone's dog. She loves to ride in the car, sits, loves to hang around with humans and other dogs. But somehow she got lost and no one has called or look for her. After a couple of months in foster care, Nuzzy's ready to move on to be a part of her new forever family.
Nuzzy is spayed and vaccinated. The adoption fee is $75. For more information email us at FelicianaAnimalWelfareSociety@yahoo.com or call us at 225-252-5138. See FAWS.PETFINDER.COM for a complete list of our adoptable pets. Find us on Facebook at Feliciana FAWS.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nuzzy, a Clinton Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer for sale in Clinton, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog from a breeder in Clinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
