Fonzie's Story...
COMMUNITY DOG IN NEED OF HOME:*Please contact the owner, not ResQpaws, if you’re interested in a community pet.* Fonzie is a beautiful 13 month old Australian Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. He is very playful and loving. His favorite game to play is fetch. He enjoys running and going on long walks. Fonzie is house broken and kennel trained. He is up to date on vaccinations but is not neutered. Fonzie is currently living in a fenced backyard with another dog that is not his biggest fan. In general Fonzie gets along with most dogs and people. He has never been around cats because my husband and I are allergic. He especially loves kids although he would do best in a family with children older than 10yrs of age, or under supervision because he tends to jump on them in a playful way. He is not aggressive and is super friendly.

He is a loved dog but we don't have the room or time to exercise him properly. Please contact me if you would like to schedule a visit. Call Allie at (936) 465-4951

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fonzie, a Yuba City Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Yuba City, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Yuba City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yuba City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yuba City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yuba City paves the way for another one to be saved.
