Gertie's Story...
Gertie the Goldenbull was dumped off at a kill shelter after 9 years with her former family, and we can’t figure out why. She is a sweet, well mannered easy going girl. She had stopped eating while she was in the shelter and lost a lot of weight. When Erica and I met up today for her photoshoot, Gertie looked like she had all but given up on life. Her ears were back, her tail and head low, her eyes averted. My heart broke right then and there. How could anyone dump off their dog to die at a shelter, especially after nine years? Thank God Dolly’s Foundation saved her. After a little bit of cuddling, we were able to get a few smiles out of Gertie. Email adoptions@dollysfoundation.org for more information on Gertie.
