Riley's Story...
Hello. My name is Riley. I am a 1-year-old boxer mix. START II rescued me from a high-kill shelter in the South. I love playing outside. As a young canine, I have a lot of energy, so running around and playing with a ball are quite enjoyable. When I pick up a scent of something unfamiliar to me, I have to investigate. The only thing that really breaks me away from my curiosity is treats! I go bonkers over treats. My ideal fur-ever family would spend lots of time playing with me, spoil me with some treats, and show me lots of love and affection. I prefer a household without cats. I have a tendency to chase after them. If you are interested in meeting me, please call (201) 797-8861 or email startkayne@gmail.com to make an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Elmwood Park Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
