Conrad's Story...
Hello! My name is Conrad. I am a 7-month-old hound mix. I get so excited to be around people and I love to give kisses. One of my favorite pastimes at the START II shelter is running around the yard and exploring new scents. Most times you can find me with my nose to the ground, curious about who or what has been visiting my temporary home. My furever home wish list includes a large fenced-in yard for me to run around in, loving furever parents whom shower me with kisses and affection, fresh food and water daily, and an environment that will make me feel secure and nurture my personality.

To meet Conrad, please call (201) 797-8861 or email startkayne@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Conrad, a Elmwood Park Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
