Charlotte's Story...
Hi! My name is Charlotte. I am a 1-year-old terrier mix. I absolutely love people! When volunteers pet me, I get so happy that my tail wags so fast, it looks like it will fly right off of my body. My second favorite thing is treats. During my profile picture photo shoot, my pals at START II were trying to make me sit still with treats. Instead of waiting patiently for a single treat, I went right for the treat jar. Too bad it had a screw-top lid. I also love playing in the yard. Volunteers enjoy running with me and tossing a ball for fetch. Not only do I get lots of exercise during these activities, I also get to see my people pals smile and laugh. I would like to make you smile and laugh, too, fur-ever family! If you are interested in meeting me, please call (201) 797-8861 or email startkayne@gmail.com to make an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlotte, a Elmwood Park Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
