Taylor's Story...
Hello! My name is Taylor. I am a 1-year-old black tuxedo kitty. Just before START II rescued me, I got into an accident. A doggy bit my tail really bad. Doctors had to amputate half of it. So, now I have half a tail with a little pink nub at the end. I don't let my accident get me down though. I'm very playful. When its time to get some exercise, I go nut playing with anything, including litter pellets. Sometimes when volunteers clean my cage, I slap their hands with my paws because I think it is a game. I love people. I show volunteers affection by giving them headbutts and kisses! After my traumatic experience with dogs, I don't think I would like to be in a home with them. I'm current on my vaccinations, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia. If you are interested in meeting me, please call Donna at (201) 875-7533 or email startkayne@aol.com to schedule an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taylor, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
