Iris's Story...
Hello! My name is Iris. I am a 2-year-old dilute calico. I love being the center of attention. Nothing makes me more happy than receiving belly rubs and cheek scratches! When volunteers are busy cleaning, I always roll around on my back, meowing, to get their attention. And I always get what I want. I enjoy people gushing over my cuteness! To show my appreciation, I always give kisses and headbutts. Because I like being the center of attention, I prefer a home without other cats. Are you ready to treat me like the queen I was born to be? I am current on my vaccinations, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia. If you are interested in meeting me, please call Chris at 201-906-7813, or email startkayne@aol.com to schedule an appointment. I am at the PetSmart in Paramus, NJ

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Iris, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
