Mr Meowgi's Story...
Handsome, Furry Good Listener Seeks Home

You are in for a treat with this mellow agreeable gentleman. Mr. Meowgi was slated for euthanasia the same afternoon he was rescued, and we are so glad we got him in time. He is a long, gorgeous, graceful fellow with golden eyes and great comedic timing with his meowed comments. He is definitely a real pet--he wants to be near you and will give you a little tap with his paw as you walk past--his high five!
Mr. Meowgi is very friendly and accepting of other cats and would be a great cat pal. Mr. Meowgi has tested negative for FLV but positive for FIV, which is harmless to humans and only passable to other cats with sexual contact or deep bites. In a loving home Mr. Meowgi will live a long and healthy life.
Please give this fantastic fellow the chance he deserves and has not yet had. If you would like to meet him he is currently fostered in midtown and we would be happy to arrange an introduction.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr Meowgi, a Brooklyn American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
