Birch's Story...
Birch-Beagle/Spaniel/JRT Male puppy 8 weeks (mid Feb, 2013)

Birch and his sisters are the result of an accidental breeding. Someone who didn't think about the fact that their unaltered female would get pregnant. The family asked the Rescue to help the puppies (now getting Momma spayed). We knew this little family deserved some great homes
and not the risk of ending up in a high kill shelter. He's a healthy, fun loving, typical puppy, used to playing with his sisters. His adoption fee is $275 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Birch, a Germantown Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
