Blizzard's Story...
Blizzard is just one of the sweetest cats around. He begged to be rescued and thats just what we did.

During a blizzard, he came up to a woman, crying and putting his arms up to be picked up. Sadly, she couldnt take him inside. He was skinny and starving, and the best she could do was feed him. It was breaking the womans heart because everytime she went back inside of her home, he tried to follow her. Her landlord didnt allow pets so she started calling rescues and once one of our volunteers heard about him begging to be taken inside, she couldnt stand to see him outside any longer and went and got him. As soon as she got him home he rewarded her with headbutts and love. He is just so sweet and appreciates being warm and getting fed regularly so much.

It turns out that this guy was already neutered, so we updated his vaccines and tested him for felv/fiv for which he is negative, and dewormed him. He is already to go to a home, where he will reward you with lots of love if you will give him a warm bed to sleep in.

Oh, and he loves, loves, loves, other cats, so that is a big bonus.

This cat will be at our Petco adoption center on Rt 1 in Edison, south of Rt 287, in the Home Depot shopping center, open Sat & Sun, 11 to 4:30.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blizzard, a East Brunswick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in East Brunswick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in East Brunswick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Brunswick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Brunswick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Brunswick paves the way for another one to be saved.
