Sylvia's Story...
Sultry Sylvia here for adoption. I have been in a foster home for two years and I keep hoping that someone will think I am beautiful and give me a home. I am a little shy at first but aren't we all? I am not a lap cat but I do love to be loved. I will bump my head into your forehead or into your chin. I love to be petted and I look up at my foster mom with adoring eyes. I enjoy sitting out on the "catio" as my foster mom calls it instead of the patio. It is a giant screened porch and I sit out there and watch the birds and the world go by. You know you could foster me so that you could get to know me and see what a love I am, and you could adopt me then.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvia, a Great Mills Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Mills, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Great Mills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Mills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Mills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Mills paves the way for another one to be saved.
