Cassandra's Story...
My name is Cassandra. I am one lucky girl. I was outside in this cold December weather and a young woman named Amber saw me outside. I gave her my most pathetic meow I could muster. I was really starving and I had become thin. Amber called Feral Cat Rescue and when Amber agreed to foster me until I could find a permanent home; they decided to take me into their system. I have been thoroughly checked out and I am healthy and loving my new foster home. It is warm and I love the dog they have. We even sleep together. I can't wait to find my furever home. I am very sweet. I love to be petted and I am very friendly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassandra, a Great Mills Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Great Mills, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Great Mills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Mills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Mills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Mills paves the way for another one to be saved.
