Baby Ruth's Story...
My name is Baby Ruth and I am part of the "chocolate gang" :) There were 7 of us but my brothers Whitman and Cadbury have found their furever homes already. Also my 3 sisters Cocoa, Kitkat and Truffles went to their new families. I am happy for them but now I would like to find a home of my own. I am still very little (10 weeks old) and attached to my mama, Lady Godiva so if at all possible, I would like to go with her. I should be fully vetted by the end of March 2013.

If you would like to adopt me and my mama or sisters, please Click Here to fill out our application. You can email it back to info@feralcatrescuemd.org or diane@feralcatrescuemd.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Ruth, a Great Mills Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Mills, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Mills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Mills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Mills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Mills paves the way for another one to be saved.
