Diane's Story...
What?!?! You haven’t adopted me yet?

I’m Diane. I have a beautiful name, which matches my beautiful soul. I know I might not be winning any beauty contests. You know the old saying, beauty is only skin deep, right?

I’m a gentle girl who is friendly and loving. I haven’t met a person I didn’t like. All shapes and sizes work for me, kids, adults, anyone. Do you have a loving heart and a set of hands to pet me? Then I think we’ll make a great match. I enjoy the company of my dog pals, but I’m just as happy to be an only dog. I’m crate trained and quiet. I walk well on leash and learn things really fast.

When I first arrived at APRA I had a skin condition called mange. I’ve been treated and am feeling good. I know my hair will grow back one day. I don’t let that hold me back or dampen my sunny personality. I’m ready to give unconditional love. Can you do the same for me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diane, a Smyrna Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Smyrna, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Smyrna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smyrna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smyrna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smyrna paves the way for another one to be saved.
