Linus's Story...
Lovely Linus is a 5 year old petite beagle mix (under 20 pounds). He should have been named him "Mr. Happy" because that surely is his disposition to everything! He plays excellent with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys meeting new people. Linus is house-trained with nice house manners and he is also fine with cats. Linus always has a wiggle in his walk, you got to come see him at our next adoption stand or you can get started now with an application at http://www.henricohumane.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Linus, a Richmond Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
